Simple, sober rooms and bungalows, all spacious and clean, with electricity and fan.

Yves offers simple and sober but spacious and clean rooms and bungalows with electricity, mosquito net and fan. Common sanitary facilities. The rooms are quite comfortable, the setting charming and the staff very welcoming and available. Gargot in the vicinity. The establishment has a small dhow of 10 meters with rectangular sail and motor: you can thus go to the islands Nossy Barren (40 km from Maintirano) or to the "Cailloux" (Nosy Marify) at 12 km. You will also receive very good advice to visit the region.

A l'hôtel la croix du sud de Maintirano, il n'y a guère qu'un étranger tous les ans ou deux ans! (pour1 ou quelques jours ) . C'est peut être pour cela que Florence vous a fait payer 15 000ar. Mais le prix est de 7 000ar (moins de 2 euros la nuit), la chambre, et 12 000ar le bungalows, prix qui n'a pas bougé depuis des années et ce pour tous (malgaches ou étrangers). On l'appelle aussi Hotel de France par les chauffeurs de taxi brousse, car il n'y a pas beaucoup de "vazahas", dans le coin, et le mari de Florence est français(breton) .Nouveau tél;348964449

If you try, for example, travel on a dhow " naturel" at the beginning of Mahajunga (Morondava and Belo on Sea), a stop will certainly occur at Maintirano, a small town acceuillante, well equipped and filled to make a stop comfort or visit. The crew will not deprive yourself! From Mahajunga, no fridge along the coast, not " ville" , and each night boat remains, which is obviously fabulous: sky, sounds natural, rocking the dhows... out of time.
Then this small town, the only one of the course before Morondava, will allow you to go far, a bit of canoeing with sailors and cover for the suite.
The city centre is 4 km from the port and hotels a bit far. Good address, easiest, is 300 ft from the port (already, you want a shower very): Hotel de FRANCE in Florence. Price of Ar15000, lots of square, simple but very clean and equipped 220v, mosquito net and fan! Florence, very friendly will clear up on " gasyment" all!
