Tunnel that had been closed by the hand of the man whose entrance is discovered in 2003 by the archaeologist Sergio Gomez
The tunnel entrance was discovered in 2003 by archaeologist Sergio Gómez. After explorations with the help of robots, more than a thousand tons of rubble were removed in the eight years it took to clear the passage from one entrance to the other, 103 meters away. During the excavations in this tunnel, which had been closed by human hands, the researchers located more than 100,000 objects: ceramic vessels, sculptures, shells, obsidian and jade, etc.
