The first of a series of buildings erected in 1912 in the Art Nouveau style, this oblong-shaped water tower is a surprising landmark at the main entrance to the large park of this spa town. Near the large hotels, this impressive structure is visible from afar, and never fails to intrigue visitors. Its elaborate appearance and its central vault decorated with carved and painted Transylvanian motifs can be explained by the fact that in addition to being a water tower, the building was once also a tramway station.
