ETHNOLOGICAL COLLECTION

This collection presents the customs and somewhat forgotten history of the Serbian emigrants from the regions of Kordun, Banija and Lika, a minority under Austrian protection who fled the Ottoman advance over the centuries. During the Second World War, these Serbs, settled in the krajina (military borders) of Croatia and Bosnia since the 14th century, had to flee the Ustasha exactions and settled in this part of Serbia. We find furniture, daily objects, writings, typical clothes, etc.
