The village of Oubadji is the southern entrance (or exit, depending on) to the Niokolo Koba Park. The entrance fee can be paid here provided you arrive with a guide, as you will not find one on site. This locality is about 30 km west of Salémata and only 10 km from the border with Guinea, which explains why it seems to have been "forgotten" by the authorities of the region. The runway that accesses it gives even experienced pilots a fright. It is practically impassable in the middle of winter. Too bad, because it is the only access if you want to visit the park from Bassari country.
