Dialacoto is located 60 km from Tambacounda and around ten kilometers from Wassadou, on the outskirts of the Niokolo Koba park, on the banks of the Gambia and Niériko rivers. Its 3,000 inhabitants live mainly from agriculture and pastoralism. There are two health posts, one public, the other private, with a nurse available 24 hours a day for emergencies. You can stop off at the camp, which was founded by young villagers to combat the rural exodus, but is now falling into disuse. If you're coming by public transport from Tambacounda, a taxi-brousse will drop you off at the village.
