In the rain forest, this camp has an exceptional site: an island in the heart of the Rapides rapids, the lodge being built on the river's elbow. It is quietly located at the foot of three of the boxes, with houses built only with forest materials, palms, procedurally and wood. The other three huts, directed towards the interior of the island, make it possible to take advantage of the morning song of birds. Each house, with a small private terrace, consists of one single bedroom with two single beds and a rustic bathroom, but full of charm. The lighting is discreet, produced by solar energy and oil lamps. At the entrance to the camp, the restaurant terrace, beautiful and comfortable, overlooks the river's fast waters. Everywhere you find the same spirit of recovery of local products that characterize the sustainable management project and which animates the owner of the lodge, Eric Turquin (French passionate French). Finally, the table is still well-worn thanks to the cultivation of the vegetable garden, the poultry of the chicken coop and the riches of the surrounding nature: mushrooms, fruit, herbal teas, etc. The camp has almost total autonomy and even includes a bread oven. For example, the excellent cook cook offers à la carte tomates soup tomato-seeds, a surprising forest herb chicken or a delicious sesame dessert for which it keeps secrecy. A qualified team of servers, women of room and guides, reserves a warm and dedicated welcome.
