At the northeastern end of the delta, north of Moremi, these two concessions are managed by the Khwai community. They organize cultural visits to the village, with traditional dances, local meals and the discovery of handicrafts such as woven baskets and bead necklaces. The welcoming committee is exclusively female, with the men at work. This is a commendable initiative, as few Botswana communities are yet promoting outdated traditions. For them, tourism is a way of perpetuating their knowledge and ways of life, while at the same time earning funds to live in a more modern way.
