Concessions NG22 and NG23, Vumbura and Duba Plains, which are very similar, cover 600 and 300 km² respectively. More often referred to as the Kwedi Concession, they are located on the northern edge of Moremi. The Thaoge River flows here and splits into two branches, called Nqoga and Jao. The landscape consists of wide plains, floodplains, dotted with islands and planted with date palms. On the larger islands, all the classic trees and shrubs of the Okavango are represented: leadwood, raintree, fig tree, sausage tree, African ebony, feverberry and acacia. The western part is less wooded as it is often flooded.
