Bhutan's first botanical park, very popular with the inhabitants of Thimphu, at the foot of the Dochula Pass, with a variety of plant species
This is Bhutan's first botanical park. At the foot of the Dochula Pass, it forms a biological corridor between Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park and Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Park. Covering more than 50 hectares, it is home to 500 plant species, including 46 species of rhododendron, 18 of which are endemic. The area is popular with locals, who flock here at weekends for picnics. The view over the valley and the Gangchen Nyezergang Lhakhang is magnificent.
