Built in 1972, it is one of Kathmandu's most renowned hotels, which has retained a real cachet. With its large garden, complete with pond and fountain, and impeccable service, this famous establishment, set away from the hustle and bustle of the streets in the chic embassy district of Lazimpat, is a showcase for Nepalese craftsmanship: many antique pieces have been restored and integrated into the decoration of the rooms and hotel. Breakfast is served in a beautiful Newar-style dining room, and the rooms are spacious and attractive.

L'hôtel Manaslu est un endroit de charme très recommandable, calme et près d'un quartier commerçant accessible à des touristes découvrant Katmandou. Le personnel est aimable et apte à vous aider pour peu que vous vous adressiez à lui en anglais. L'hôtel est idéalement situé près de l'agence de trekking franco-népalaise "Base Camp Trek" que nous recommandons aussi pour son sérieux et la fiabilité de ses guides.
