On your way, you will pass through several provincial parks. Telegraph Creek promises to be an exceptional experience, including the ascent of Mount Edziza, a volcanic mountain that peaks at 2,787 m. The area experiences wide temperature variations and snow can remain on the peaks all summer. In altitude, the fauna consists of mountain goats and mouflons. Slightly lower down are the Selkirk caribou, grizzly bears and elk. Abandoned cabins and posts along a trail through the southern part of the present park through Raspberry Pass are the remains of a proposed telegraph line that would connect North America, Asia and Europe.
