After Tatla Lake, the asphalt gives way to gravel. Stop at Anahim Lake (328 km from Williams Lake): at the General Store, the coffee maker is always on the stove... In front of you stands Mount Waddington (4,016 m), the highest peak of the Coast Range. Further on, after the Heckman Pass (1494m), the Rainbow Range rises to over 2400m; the range owes its name to the minerals that give it its purple, red and yellow colours. Passing the Hill, hang on, you are entitled to a famous stretch of road: 10 km of gravel with 18% gradient...
