Local, family-style cuisine. From the Portuguese omelet to the delicious mahi-mahi served as a dish, sautéed or as a burger (Hawaiian specialty of seasoned raw fish), the choice is wide for a modest sum. Try the burgers with homemade bread and locally raised meat, or the Hawaiian "samain" soup made of noodles and chicken broth and of course spam to make it more local. The best part is that the Blue Ginger Cafe is also a bakery, ideal for shopping before hitting the road.
