Arnott's Lodge offers a limited 13-person tour to the top of Mauna Kea.

It's impossible to get to the top of Mauna Kea without a jeep, so Arnott's lodge offers to take you to the top. Limited to 13 people, the tour is done in small groups and it's great not to have to drive on this long road. The departure is at 3 pm from Arnott's or from the center of Hilo if needed, to gradually rise to the 4 000 m of the summit. There are several stages on the way to avoid altitude headaches, but don't worry, you are in good hands.
