The Kailua-Kona Pier is located at the end of Alii Drive. Built in 1918, it concentrates all the marine tourist activities and it is from there that most of the sea excursions leave. The breakwater is also a good fishing spot. Finally, every October, it is the starting point of the international triathlon "Ironman", which, as its name suggests, is very difficult! The swimmers have to cover a distance of 4 km in one go. Yes, that's it! Very nice view on the coast.
