CHISOS BASIN VISITOR CENTER

This information desk is a great place to get maps and ask questions of the often friendly and cooperative rangers. You will find, among other things, a life-size mountain lion, to give you a vague idea of the immensity of the beast. There is a small exhibit that guides you through the flora and fauna of the Chisos Mountains, very informative and detailed. They sell maps of the hiking trails for only a few dollars.
