MONAHANS SANDHILLS STATE PARK

To get there, take route 20 west from Odessa, and exit at the 86 mile marker, to get back to route 41 of the park. This park has the particularity of having very large sand dunes. One of the favorite activities of visitors is to slide down their slopes. 400 years ago, the Spanish explorers who discovered the region already mentioned this vast sandy area. Later, oil companies came to pump its soil.
