NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LA CONCEPCIÓN DEL SOCORRO

Founded in 1682, the mission had to be moved because of threats from the natives who wanted to destroy it. It is located near the village of Socorro, today considered a neighborhood of El Paso. This mission is very pretty, made of adobe with white painted walls, showing links with the Spanish building traditions of the ^17th century. There is a gift shop, with very friendly employees. Guided tours are available.
