AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE HALL OF FAME & MUSEUM

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum was established in 1989 by the American Quarter Horse Association, based in Amarillo since 1940. The museum is dedicated to the people and horses who have contributed to the growth of the American Quarter Horse (a breed of horses originating in the United States, selected for their speed in quarter-mile sprint races, hence the name) and who have been recognized as outstanding over the years in various categories.
