This museum presents a reconstruction of a city of the 1930s, which arose following the discovery of an oil source.

On the campus of Kilgore College, 11 miles southwest of Longview. One of the best oil-themed museums in Texas. It features a recreation of a 1930's town that sprang up as a result of the discovery of an oil source. Many Texans found the idea of this museum so original that they sent old objects found in their attic to complete the collection.

It's like being back in time 80 years ago. The elementary school, the church, the shopping street, the little tea shop, the factory... everything is there.
