Museum with an impressive permanent collection of works by Velázquez, Goya, Monet, Rembrandt, Picasso.
The Kimbell Art Museum's permanent collection is impressive, and Texans are very proud of their internationally known museum. It features works by Velazquez, Goya, Monet, Rembrandt, Picasso, Cézanne, Matisse and many others. The architecture of the building also plays a role in its public recognition. Designed by the American architect Louis I. Kahn in 1972, it is considered one of the masterpieces of modern architecture. They also offer temporary exhibitions, bringing for example the paintings of Bonnard.
