According to many locals, it's the best barbecue in Dallas. In the middle of Deep Ellum, Pecan Lodge is always busy. It's especially popular for its outdoor seating area, where you can lounge around on warm, digestive afternoons. Often, live music concerts, scheduled or impromptu, add to the relaxed atmosphere of the place. However, you'd better be patient, as long lines are not uncommon. The meat (the raison d'être of the place) is cooked for hours. But be careful, the restaurant closes when it is sold out!
