MUSEUM OF WESTERN ART

The museum is only a few miles from Highway 10, further north, which connects San Antonio to Fort Stockton. Here you will see works that relate to the Great West and especially to the Indians. Beautiful paintings illustrate the activities of the native peoples but also the pioneers. You will see beautiful paintings of the bluebonnet fields of the Hill Country, sculptures of cowboys with lassoes, and special exhibits with works by different local artists. The time periods on display can be quite extensive.
