PIONEER MUSEUM

This museum carefully traces the history of German immigration, including a life-size reconstruction of the early pioneer village. The museum offers a fascinating glimpse of what a small immigrant town in the second half of the ^19th century in the southern United States was like. They explain what the " Sunday Houses " were. When the farmers of the time came to Fredericksburg to do business, they extended their stay for the entire weekend by being entertained in these houses.
