Galveston Historic Seaport

The museum tells the story of the city of Galveston, one of the major ports of entry for immigrants in the late ^19th and early ^20th centuries. Visitors can board the 1877 Elissa from Greece, browse the museum's history of immigration to Texas, and access the database that records the names and origins of emigrants. One of three such ships in the world, Elissa still sails today.
