THE GRAND OPERA HOUSE

The Galveston Grand Opera building dates back to 1894. It is one of the oldest theaters in the United States, and you can walk around it on a self-guided tour. It has been restored many times and nowadays it mainly presents comedy shows and musical performances, among which the Galveston Symphony Orchestra will play, among others, Ravel to perfection. There are also dance and theater performances and, of course, operas. A truly enjoyable experience that is well worth the effort!
