HOUSTON CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY CRAFT

Founded in 2001, Houston's Center for Contemporary Crafts offers tours of the studios of artisans and artists. Their aim is to produce objects in clay, glass, wood or recycled materials, and to tell the story of craftsmanship through them. It's a dynamic center with temporary exhibitions. Also worth a visit is the Craft Garden, featuring a number of plants along a short path. The souvenir store is full of surprises.
