MEMORIAL PARK

It is the largest park in Houston and one of the largest urban green lungs in the United States. Located west of downtown, along Memorial Drive, it covers 6 km². This former military training camp, where American troops were prepared for the First World War, became, according to the wishes of local authorities, a place of remembrance for all the fallen.
