RIVER OAKS THEATER

Installed in an Art Deco building, this cinema is unlike any other and is on a mission to conquer the American independent cinema. Having been an institution that, like many others, had to fight to stay the way it was, this theater has finally managed to be preserved, thanks to the fighting spirit of the locals. Championed by Houston directors such as Richard Linklater, the River Oaks Theater plans to reopen in 2023, after closing in March 2021.
