A musical style unique to Louisiana, zydeco is celebrated with great pomp in the city that is its world capital.

Opelousas is the world capital of zydeco music. It is therefore not surprising to learn that the small town organizes an annual festival entirely dedicated to the cause but also to the Creole culture. It's the perfect opportunity to discover the bands and musicians that make this musical style shine and to master the dance steps that go with it. A really nice event that was in its 40th edition in 2022, no less.
