Awesome EV charging(of course would be great if they had multiple) and rooms are high quality and beds are awesome. Came here after trying to cheap out on days inn and regretting it immediately. Huge relief after a long day and half a night of driving.
Writing this review while I am still in the waiting room. Got here at 3:15 to check in and after two hours our rooms are still not ready. We came in for a state championship and this has been an awful experience so far and after driving hours to get here we expected to have rooms to get ready in but we will have to leave before getting our rooms and get ready in a public restroom.
Definitely didn't have a Hilton family vibe. The lobby which seemed outdated was the nicest part. Staff was friendly, received a small bag with 2 water bottles for being a Hilton member, but the second I walked in the room all I could think was creepy & outdated. I barely wanted to sleep in the bed but had no alternative. I don't know that I've ever left a hotel feeling so dirty and dissapointed. The look and feel wasn't very clean or comforting. Fortunately it was only one night but would never return here.
Room was dated, like really dated. Stains on furniture in awkward locations should really be rectified before renting out a room.
Amenities were miniscule. Who needs 2 pots and a cheap old coffee maker. How about a frying pan?
Also, the website photos showed a full size coffee maker not some knock off one cup and done coffee maker.
Final straw was when we awoke on Saturday morning to zero hot water which apparently began Friday evening. Not a great way to start a 10 hour drive home.
I don't care how many college softball teams were staying in the hotel, your infrastructure should have been able to accommodate the surge. I'm fairly certain your bank rolls handled it just fine.
Staff were friendly as could be. Breakfast was decent but cold, we just had to warm up in our room microwave.
So I always try and give honest and straight forward reviews. We checked in on a Thursday and checked out Saturday. We checked in late and check in was super quick but we used our online room selection but card at desk. Front desk lady was great.
Room is a little older with a little wear and tear but overall is nice and spacious. Woke up and went to bathroom to shower but both bathrooms were low on shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Notified the front desk and they were all filled by the time we got back that afternoon.
Breakfast was fair. Surprised they didn't have a waffle maker but was a hardy breakfast and good way to start the morning both mornings. There was a couple of college softball teams there in the hotel and bunch of folks eating but they did a great job keeping food topped off and tables clean.
Negative- We got back Friday and the whole hotel had lost hot water. I know things break down and it was not fixed before we checked out, but front desk was very honest and forward and handled the complaints well and did not get rude and I am sure there were many people complaining. They gave me the managers contact and I emailed her. She got back fairly quick and made it correct in my opinion.
Overall not a bad hotel. Front desk was great all weekend and people in Kitchen where great. Staff in my opinion was the best attribute. Hotel is older but common areas are nice and rooms are in fairly good shape. Location is good and easy to get to and decent part of town. I would stay here again if I was in the area!
Traveling through and stayed for one night. Rooms were old, musty and outdated. Shower head was dysfunctional and got water all over the bathroom. No water bottle fillers in hotel. No sheets for pull out couch were in room and not enough towels. No staff to bring them to room. Digital key didn’t work so we couldn’t go straight to our room as advertised. Breakfast was not up to Hilton standards (no hot waffles or pancakes and coffee was cold, cereal bins were empty.) We stayed at a Hilton Tru hotel the night before in Florida and this was horrible in comparison. Hilton would do good to dump this hotel or they need to make improvements to get up to standards.
We arrived to the hotel at 1pm. We were told the room wasn't ready, cool we are early. I checked back at 3:30 still no room or update on when the room will be ready. I checked back again at 5 room.still isn't ready. I was tild I'll get a call when the room was ready... No call yet and it 6:30pm. So I go back to check on the room since I didn't receive a call. And it is now 6:36 and oh your room is ready. So if I wouldn't went back up there I'll be still sitting. It's 2 and a half hours after check in and we still waiting on a room. Thus is very unacceptable, but if we would need late check out we wouldn't be able to do it. I wish I couldn't rated the service a 0
We stayed there almost a month ago and really liked the room and atmosphere. The registrar went out of her way to get a nice room that fit two senior citizens. Breakfast was way better than might be expected and all the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We plan to try and stay there again in about a week from now. Highly recommended.
Roaches/flees in room 130 and 129. We had to relocate. Also found roaches upon occupying room 129. Walking one from front desk, discovered an adult roach walking in hallway about to enter a room near laundry room. Homewood Suites by Hilton located on Kaliste Saloom, Lafayette, La.
