O PICO MOCAMBO

A bar-café that boasts one of the most picturesque settings in the city. Located on the first floor of an old colonial house, one comes here at aperitif time to enjoy a fresh cocktail based on homemade arranged rum. Also a good range of whiskies, gins and vodkas. The clientele is very eclectic and it is not uncommon to come across some French expatriates. On the ground floor, local artists are promoted (painting, sculpture...) in a gallery run by Garridou, a local artist who speaks very good French.

A pleasant coffee-restaurant with a calm atmosphere and almost studious, ideal for chatting, working on the computer, writing and chatting. In the evening, when the place is animated, the atmosphere becomes more festive in this amazing space with the accents of new York loft. Thursday evening is dedicated to dancing and culture in Sao Tome and Principe: possibility to participate in the discovery of local gastronomy with Grand Chef Joao Carlos Silva or just drink a drink. On the map, in general, hot drinks, beer and some dishes that change depending on fresh products in the kitchen. Friendly welcome.

Small bar overlooking the city where you can drink a cold beer or a strong coffee. It also offers snacks, such as sandwiches, pies and hamburgers to eat at any time of the day, on the spot or to take away. The atmosphere is very local and this is an opportunity to meet some of the locals. It is also frequented by expatriates who enjoy the atmosphere for a drink. The staff is all the more friendly, the service smiling and efficient. A nice little address to discover.

Pierre Jean, located in São Tomé in the last few years, has created an original concept in a friendly and colourful place. The meeting theme is the Francophonie, in the simplest sense of the term. For habitués, Santoméens, Europeans or Africans on the continent, the common point is the attachment to the practice of French. Enjoy good local liqueurs in an atmosphere rich in exchange.
