BLUE LAKE

The track leading to the Blue Lake is just a stone's throw from the hotel of the same name. Located about 5 km from the city, this lake is actually a pond in which it is better not to bathe, as its stagnant water can be a vector of bilharzia. The black colour of this body of water is due to microscopic algae. It is a place full of mystery because of the various legends that surround it, such as that of the seven pygmies who, during a crossing, all died trying to recover their axe that had fallen to the bottom of the water. Nice walks are to be expected.
