In the vicinity of Oyem, it is possible to visit several Fang villages such as Mimbeng. Crossed by the main road, it is built on the model of local villages, with a guardhouse in the centre, rows of traditional huts and modern brick houses as well as a large cemetery. It is run by a village chief assisted by a committee of elders. If you are lucky, you will be able to attend dances during ceremonies (mourning, birth, return from a long trip...).
