IDIORA

French cuisine restaurant €€€

One would not expect to find such a house on this side of Libreville. And yet! The decoration skilfully mixes traditional African art and antique furniture from here and elsewhere, found all over the world by the owner Christian. The Gabonese specialities are well reworked, like the excellent sea knife, and the international flavours, often based on fish. A restaurant-gallery where everything is as beautiful to look at as it is good to eat, Idiora does justice to its translation: "I ate well" in Bantu language! Outside terrace.

L’ODIKA

French cuisine restaurant €€

Formerly located at the beginning of Montée de Louis, this famous Libreville address has moved a few streets perpendicular to its former site. The setting is much more chic and elegant, with its leafy wooden terrace and small air-conditioned dining room. However, the menu has not aged since the establishment was founded in 1989, and is still predominantly African and Creole. Odika lives up to its reputation: simple and good. The speciality? Chicken à l'odika, but you can just as easily come for anything else. Professional service.
