MANGO WATCHTOWER

This viewpoint is located 9km from Puerto Villamil. It takes its name from the mango trees that have been there for hundreds of years. To reach it from Puerto Villamil, you will cross a zone of arid vegetation and a transition zone. The site was also the site of the quarry from which the first inhabitants extracted the materials necessary to build all the roads of the island. From the top of the hill, if the sky is clear enough, you can have a superb view of the south of the island, see its islets and even see Floreana and Santa Cruz.
