The Cerro, formerly called Cerrito Verde, is the site from which the town was founded in 1547. Today it is home to restaurants, cafes, art galleries and craft shops and its main attraction is the view it offers of the city. Other points of interest include the Mirador el Fortín, the highest point of the Cerro, where the Faro is built, as well as the Santa Ana chapel and the museum.

quartier coloré
Ce quartier est visible du malecon 2000 et vous interpellera de par ses couleurs et sa situation en hauteur, cet une balade à faire quand vous serez à l'extrémité du malecon, mais sachez que tout est en hauteur ça grimpe un peu! sinon de belles façades colorées avec des maisons en style colonial. Nombreuses présences policières en journée, la nuit?
