Square at the southern end of the Malecón, home to a small craft market with 24 small stores
In this square, located at the southern end of the Malecón, there are two notable monuments: the Plaza de las Banderas, which gathers the flags of the twenty-four provinces of Ecuador and in the center that of the country, and the Palacio de Cristal. There is also a small handicraft market with 24 small shops representing the handicrafts of each province. The square is named after the first meeting of South American presidents that took place here in 2002.
