MUSEO ANTROPOLÓGICO Y DE ARTE CONTEMPORÁNEO (MAAC)

Its modern architecture is inspired by a pre-Columbian boat from the Ecuadorian coast made of balsa wood. The museum has 5,000 archaeological pieces and a collection of 3,000 works of modern art. The spaces dedicated to anthropology are organized by pre-Columbian ethnic group, exhibiting ceramics, jewelry, ritual objects and statuettes. In the immense rooms devoted to contemporary art, the temporary exhibitions are regularly renewed
