Modernist-style building constructed between 1927 and 1930, designed and decorated by an Italian architect and sculptor
The Martín Avilés building once housed one of the most prestigious establishments in the city, the Hotel Crillón. Built between 1927 and 1930 by the Italian construction company, it was designed and decorated by an Italian architect and sculptor. It has a modernist style with a vertical façade surmounted by a series of arches resting on pilasters with capitals carved with acanthus leaves. A square tower stands at the corner of the building.
