This museum, located in the heart of the city, is a physical testimony to the confluence of cultures in Cuenca
The Manuel Agustin Landívar Museum, located in the heart of the city, is the physical testimony of the confluence of cultures in the city of Cuenca. It has an archaeological park that contains remains of the Cañari, Inca and Spanish cultures, and two exhibition halls. The remains that are now part of the archaeological park were discovered in 1972. The rooms of a mill of the first Spanish inhabitants who settled in this place around 1540 were found.
