Museum displaying tools used to process toquilla straw and learning how to make the famous panama
Cuenca and its region have a remarkable handicraft tradition, manifested in the multiplicity and polychromy of its products; one of the most representative is the toquilla straw hat, which for a long time constituted the main source of income for the people of Cuenca. A small workshop has been recreated here, where the tools used to transform the toquilla straw are on display. You can learn how to make the famous panama and leave with your own.

Endroit très touristique (café, terrasse, ...), explications sommaires sur la fabrication. Ils peuvent expédier mais ça double presque le prix du chapeau. Par contre un beau choix à tous les prix.

Cuenca ville de fabrication du vrai chapeau panama, il faut absolument visiter ce lieu et vous comprendrez facilement toutes les étapes de fabrication, de même vous pourrez essayer les différents modèles de chapeau et si l'envie vous tente un petit achat bien moins cher que chez les célèbres chapeliers de la ville.

Magnifique pour voir pleins de panama. Le personnel est très accueillant et explique la fabrication du panama avec démonstration. Et tout ça gratuitement. Panama abordable à l'achat

Après une présentation de la fabrication des panamas, on peut en acheter un et il y a le choix! J'ai même pu faire fabriquer le mien sur mesure en 30 minutes car je n'en trouvais pas avec la forme et la couleur que je souhaitais! Accueil super!
