One of the most colorful festivals in Ecuador. You can dance with the dozens of devils dressed up and parading through the village.
One of the most colourful festivals in Ecuador which has come back into fashion in the last ten years. From January1st to 6th, dozens of characters dressed as devils take over the city centre, originally to protest against the constraints set by the church. Today, the Diablada has become a kind of carnival for which everyone makes incredible efforts to win the title of most beautiful devil! This event was declared intangible cultural heritage of Ecuador in 2009 and many tourists attend.
