GRUTAS DEL REY MARCOS

This system of caves with an underground river is located 6 kilometers east of San Juan Chamelco. Although it was reported as discovered in 1998, it was known and frequented since pre-Columbian times. Nowadays, the caves have been converted into a small tourist park where it is possible, in addition to the visit, to make the tyrolean, the boat, to restore and to stay. The interest lies, among other things, in the sculptures formed by the set of stalactites and stalagmites, which sometimes come together to form a column.
