The construction of the first cathedral in Antigua began in 1545. Destroyed by an earthquake, it was rebuilt in 1669 and inaugurated 11 years later. Considered the most beautiful architectural work of the time, it was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan Cathedral... Vous ne pouvez la manquer cette cathédrale si remarquable de blancheur et son style baroque espagnol et colonial. Située sur le pourtour du parque central poumon de la ville, une belle animation règne sur son parvis, souvent des musiciens ou de grands mariages le samedi.
