Bus station Antigua

This is where the chicken buses gather before leaving the city. They go to Guatemala City - 40 km away - in about 1.5 hours, to Chimaltenango - 20 km - in 45 minutes and to Escuintla - 35 km - in almost an hour. They also serve the villages around Antigua, such as Ciudad Vieja, San Juan del Obispo and Santa María de Jesús. Despite their low prices, it is best to limit your trips by truck to these direct routes, unless you have time to make one or more changes.
