Warm and well maintained refuge, where you can certainly make beautiful encounters in the Parque nacional chirripo
The Albergue Base Crestones hut (3,400 m) is the main, if not the only, stopover on the ascent of Cerro Chirripó. In rooms for 4 people, the beds are basic, but you'll be so tired that you won't care much about your mattress, and you'll end up falling asleep very early, wrapped up in your sleeping bag (which can be rented on site). Above all, this refuge is a warm, well-maintained place where you're sure to meet some wonderful people.
