Between sea and river, Punta Uva Sloth Point is well worth a detour, or even a kayak trip, followed by a dip in one of the area's prettiest bays. Paddling from the mouth, you'll gently make your way up a river lined with mangroves and ancient trees. If you're lucky, you'll spot sloths clinging to the branches, curious monkeys, aquatic turtles, toucans... The calm of the river and the beauty of the vegetation make this walk (which can be guided or self-guided) a soothing experience.
