A gate tower in Bergheim, offering magnificent views of the town, vineyards and Haut-Koenigsbourg.
This 14th century gate-tower guarded the western entrance to the proud city of Bergheim. In 2016, it underwent a scrupulous restoration under the leadership of the chief architect of historical monuments, Richard Duplat. A lightning rod was installed on the bell tower and interior spotlights illuminate the building at night. From the High Gate, you can take the path that leads to the ramparts to walk around a part of the city. You will discover beautiful views on the houses of Bergheim, the vineyard and the Haut-Koenigsbourg!
